Literature Text

Peal the ceiling off my room,
Let me gaze at the stars from my bed.
The moons soft glow; radiating my face,
The stars shining in my eyes.
The realness of myself fades: Suffocate.

Suffocate me in rose petals, dripping with their blood,
I can taste your regret, your sweat.
Who said I couldn’t live forever?
You pathetic fool; can’t you feel my dagger in your heart?
Your blood burns my satin flesh,
Sooths my aching soul.
You die so I can live.
You were so like me.
Only until you started to live.
Your once red lips are now so pale.
Makes me feel like deathful lust. Dream.

Dream of snow-white dragonflies,
And  lakes of lost souls.
Didn’t I tell you it would be beautiful?
Iced, poisoned raindrops fall on your lips, turning them blue.
Bleed black.
Black like the sky. Velvet.

Velvet flowers lace the embankments.
Blood red, from those who hate beauty,
These flowers must bleed out their ignorance.
Butterflies. Their razorblade wings slice at me as I dance.
My blood; spraying over this valley: bringing life. Delusion.

Delusional fantasies: My reality
Figments of my imagination.

Reality is a cruel place for the dreamer.

I love the way you have ended each stanza with a single word - makes the imagery stand out more vividly. Nice work.
